While New York is the only state with these specific laws at this time, the resources can be used more broadly at other Hillels.

New York State Requirements

1. Every employer in New York state must have a written聽sexual harassment prevention policy聽in place and distributed. Here is New York State鈥檚聽.

2. Every employer must either adopt or create a聽sexual harassment complaint form聽and include it as part of the employer鈥檚 sexual harassment policy. View a聽.

3. Every employer must provide interactive聽sexual harassment prevention training annually to all employees. New York City Requirements (in addition to the above)

New York City鈥檚  requires employers in New York City, including non-profits, to provide employees with multiple forms of notice regarding their rights.
